Latifah is a Story County native & Iowa State University graduate

In her fifteen years as a Story County employee Latifah has worked in victim services, restitution recovery, mental health court development, grant writing and program development for arrest diversion to treatment programming for those struggling with opioid and other substance use disorders.

She identified a need for, created and currently coordinates the Fines Recovery and Driver’s License Reinstatement programs. The result is over $2,200,000.00 deposited into the Story County general fund and the return of over $935,000.00 to victims of crime.

Her most recent project is building a grant funded Pre/Post Arrest Diversion to Treatment Program to connect people at risk of criminal justice involvement to treatment and community resources.

Latifah is a leader who sees and pursues opportunities, builds relationships and brings people together to accomplish common goals.

She is an active community volunteer with a passion for helping those around her.
