The National Alliance on Mental Illness of Central Iowa (NAMI-CI) and The Arc of Story County are both non-profit agencies providing support, information, and advocacy. The Arc supports individuals and families affected by developmental and intellectual disabilities. NAMI-CI works with individuals and families affected by mental illness.
Members are active in legislative issues on a local, state and national level. They are hosting this event because they feel that elected officials need to have an understanding of their constituents. ****Zoom link coming soon****

I will be hosting a Facebook live COVID-19 Virtual Town Hall on Thursday 4/16/20 at 6:30pm to talk about available community resources, how people can help, what our local agencies need most. I will be joined by Anneke Mundel from United Way of Story County, Jodi Stumbo from Emergency Residence Project and Tess Cody from ACCESS. Please DM any questions you have to me and we will be sure to get them answered. You will also be able to ask questions as we talk and we will try our best to get them all in.

One in nine Iowans are food insecure and one and six children don’t have enough to eat. 65% of the clients of the Food Bank of Iowa have to choose between paying for food or paying for other necessities like healthcare or utilities. Join Latifah Faisal, candidate for Story County Supervisor and her guests Penny Rosfjord, IDP 4th Congressional District Chair and JD Scholten, candidate for US Congress, as they discuss food insecurity in Iowa and what we can do about it.
